Boots are the only beauty shops I visit more often than. Mark sent me a list of items to purchase Dove Deo, Shower Gel, and Head & Shoulder Shampoo. (His grooming essentials are always in the strict order that I only get the former if they’re on sale), or I needed a refill of Bumble & Bumble Sunday shampoo – this is my one-stop-shop for beauty needs. The Boots Choice Card was my first loyalty program. Thanks for making me feel like an adult at 16. I still go in with just one or two items from my list and leave with 17. I cannot help but love it.

When I was given the task of updating my bathroom with summer beauty essentials, and my shopping list grew to an impressive and frankly overwhelming length, I felt like a deep-rooted ingrown hair. YAY, SOME SUMMER. Are you looking for pieces to last you through the autumn season? Glitter makeupPerfume? This is one of the most effective face primers I have ever used. They have you covered…

FOR YOUR BODY

St Tropez Classic Tanning Mousse

This is the original tanning mousse, which has been available for many seasons. This was the first time I tried it as a Uni student. It was a Rolls Royce compared to other formulas I had tried. Their Self Tan Expression Bronzing Mousse is a favourite of mine. Still, I wanted to give it another try, especially since the original product comes in a smaller bottle that can be easily carried around in your luggage.

Isle of Paradise Tan Drops

These have been my favourite product since their launch. I still haven’t finished the entire bottle (although I am getting close!). These concentrated tanning drops can be used on your skin or moisturize your body. They come in three colours that are correct for your skin colour and are foolproof. Add a few drops to your moisturizer, and you will see a boost in warmth and radiance. I add four drops to my evening facial oil every day for my summer skin recipe.

FOR YOUR BASE

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer

THIS STUFF IS AMAZING !!!!! This stuff is amazing! It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple, and juicy. It doesn’t matter what I put on top; there is still a radiant glow that shines through. This helps me look young even after hours. It also contains Vitamin C antioxidant protection, so I’m sold.

Clarins HydroQuench Tinted Moisturizing Moisturiser

This tinted moisturizer is my favourite. It looks amazing on its own, but it also works well with the Ole Henriksen primer. You’ll see the product in action in a video I’m working on. I also wore a combination of both. It is lightweight and leaves a sheen on the skin. However, it doesn’t feel greasy or slippy. If you want to reduce the coverage until the end of the summer, this is a good product to have in your beauty bag.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder

This classic. This bronzer was my first use many years ago. The chocolatey smell is pure nostalgia for me. It’s a light, even-toned colour that evenly deposits on the cheeks. Now available in a wider range of shades. It’s matte, but it is sheer. I love how it blends in and its warmth to my skin. It’s just as good as I remembered it.

TO ADD COLOUR

Fenty Beauty Fenty Beauty Vivid Liquid Eyeliner Trio

OMG! These eyeliners are so much fun. Neon tones are not to be afraid of. I found them surprisingly easy for a beginner like me to use (it turns out, pastel tones are much easier to apply to shaky hands than black pigment). You can wear them alone with the No7 Extreme Lengths waterproof mascara or the Too Face Neutral Eyeshadow Palette.
